A Reading office building is donating £1,000 to two primary schools.
The Apex building, located in the centre of Reading, raised the funds as part of its social impact strategy.
The money will go towards creating a green space or an 'eco-warrior' garden at Oxford Road Community School and Wilson Primary School.
The initiative also involved students from the schools designing posters on the theme of plastic waste.
These posters, featuring colourful artwork and imaginative slogans, have been displayed throughout the building to encourage its community to reduce plastic waste.
The students will be awarded the funding and small prizes during their school assembly on Wednesday, November 13, at 2.30pm.
The Mayor of Reading, Tony Page, will be present to hand out the awards.
The Apex building offers 221,000 sq ft of office space and is directly connected to Reading train station via a link bridge.
