Members of a rotary club have lent a helping hand to a food bank.
14 members of the Rotary Club of Pangbourne on Monday, November 4, visited the Readifood Foodbank in Reading to sort crates of tinned food.
These donations came from various supermarkets and shops across the Reading area.
After two hours of sorting and stacking, the club members gained a newfound appreciation for the daily efforts of volunteers who prepare food boxes for families in need.
Readifood Foodbank is a member of the Independent Food Aid Network, which has 650 independently run food banks operating across the UK.
The food bank provides food parcels to people in crisis and distributes to various organisations that help those in need, like schools and shelters.
