The search for Miss Berkshire has begun for the first time since the beginning of the prestigious Miss Great Britain competition.

Director, Kirsty Jane Fletcher decided to launch the Miss Great Britain Berkshire 2025 competition after two exciting years at the helm of Miss Surrey.

As a previous pageant winner herself, Kirsty’s goal is to help others flourish and grow in confidence whilst creating an inspirational community of empowering women.

“For the past two years I have loved taking the helm of the Miss Great Britain Surrey competition and inspiring women,” said Kirsty.

“I’m always look for girls who have a lovely personality, are bubbly and just give off a girl next door vibe. We love to see the women gain some confidence or regain the confidence that they may have lost along the way. We embrace every single finalist as a whole.

“It’s really great fun and some of the girls create lifelong friendships through it.”

The Miss Great Britain competition, established in 1945, is the UK’s oldest and most prestigious pageants.

The establishment of the Miss Berkshire UK pageant will also mark the competitions 80th anniversary.

Alongside the visual aspects of the competition, the contestants are expected to collaborate with local and national charities, including Cancer Research to raise vital funds.

Women across Berkshire are being invited to apply to make it to the grand final in July 13 at Easthampstead Park alongside 30 other women vying for the title of Miss GB Berkshire.

Kirsty added: “I’m hoping to grow the regional heats year on year. Most girls are stepping out of their comfort zones. They’re being really bold and brave by trying something new. It is really inspiring to watch.

“I’m really proud about the community I am creating.”

This year’s Miss Surrey winner, Rosie Ellis, 22, won Miss GB Surrey and advocates for girls like herself with autism. She had no previous pageant experience and won the Surrey title beating 29 other finalists to the crown.

This will be the first time a Miss GB Berkshire queen will be crowned and go on to represent Berkshire at the National finals on Miss GB in October 2025.

The contest is open to Berkshire gals aged between 18 and 30 who live/work/study or have strong personal connections to Berkshire and the surrounding area.  There are no size, height, parental, marital restrictions.

The director for Miss GB Berkshire also runs the Miss GB Surrey and London contests and is accepting applications for those regions now too.
