Officers from the Southcote neighbourhood team have been working with the TVP and Hampshire Joint Operations Unit pro-active traffic team.

They have been responding to community concerns around drug dealing and the illegal use of e-bikes in the Southcote area.

As a result one person has been arrested for being concerned with the supply of class A drugs, four vehicles were seized for no insurance and drivers reported and one male dealt with for theft of a bike.

Furthermore, an address where a vulnerable person was being exploited was identified and support was arranged through partners, and several people were spoken to and searched.

PC Holdstock of the Reading Neighbourhood Police Team said: “We continue to work hard responding to concerns around Southcote and Coronation Square, and are determined to reduce crime so that people feel safer in their community.

"I would encourage anyone with information that they feel would be useful to us, to report it to us via 101 or Crimestoppers”.
