The owner of a brand new farm shop has spoken out about the great success they have been experiencing since welcoming customers into the store.

Berkshire Village Farm Shop opened its doors on Friday, October 18, and owner Andy De Beer said that things have been going great ever since.

"The opening went very well and there were no particular issues or anything," Mr De Beer said.

"We had a slow start but it has been all good thank you. Since we opened it has been very good and people have been very warm and welcoming."

He went on to say that the farm shop has already had some lovely comments from the community and a good response from everyone in general.

When asked what the best-sellers are at the moment, Mr De Beer said that across the range everyone is buying up their stock.

"We aim to have all of our lamb, chicken, pork, and beef sourced here in Berkshire and then we are also going to be doing lots of exotic things too.

"Elk, reindeer, zebra, crocodile, and all other funny things that are also sourced in the UK."

Mr De Beer described the front of the store as being equipped to sell groceries and the back being dedicated to displaying the different meats on offer, such as those listed above.

Mr De Beer also owns a shop in Basingstoke just half an hour down the road, so this will be farm shop number two.
