With Reading Festival 2025 tickets on sale, we asked AI to predict who will play Berkshire's biggest music event - and it made some questionable choices.
'Predicting the exact lineup for Reading Festival in 2025 is a bit speculative,' the AI software ChatGPT revealed.
But daring to peer into the future, the software said next year's headliners could include Billie Eilish, the 1975, and The Arctic Monkeys, and Harry Styles.
This may come as a surprise to anyone who saw Billie Eilish headline the main stage last year.
And the 1975 taking to the stage next year would make it the fourth time the band has headlined the festival since 2019.
But ChatGPT thinks the band has an 'upward trajectory and have been playing increasingly bigger venues'.
'By 2025, they could very well be headlining festivals like Reading,' the AI would have you believe.
Arctic Monkeys are seen as 'festival staples' and 'likely still be at the top of their game in 2025' - which would be a relief for fans after their latest album, The Car, represented something of a departure from their usual heavy indie rock.
Another ChatGPT prediction is Foo Fighters - again, a band that headlined the event in 2019.
The AI says 'Foo Fighters could be a reliable headliner for festivals in 2025, especially with the enduring popularity of Dave Grohl' - seemingly skimming over the married frontman's confession earlier this year that he had had a child as a result of an affair.
Harry Styles 'wouldn’t be surprising' anyone if he headlined Reading in 2025, according to the artificial intelligence.
Other contenders according to ChatGPT are Tame Impala, Kendrick Lamar, Stormzy, Rina Sawayama, Lil Nas X, Fontaines D.C.
This year's festival saw many fans leave unforgiving feedback on the event which was plagued with a range of issues, from poor audio setups to bands getting drenched by rainwater.
