Today The Chronicle visited Reading's Winter Wonderland to see how things are going since they opened their doors this weekend.
From a huge undercover ice rink to thrilling rides and cozy treats, the holiday spectacular is expected to draw thousands of people from across Berkshire and beyond.
The annual event has been ongoing since 2014 and claims to be the biggest in Berkshire.
Doors to Reading's winter wonderland opened on November 11, welcoming guests in until January 9, 2025.
The bar which appears as a lodge with little festive wood cabins to sit in looked great today Sunday, November 10, all lit up with Christmas lights.
For just £6 customers can enjoy a cup of mulled wine or cider, perfect for the colder months ahead.
The bar also sells a selection of cocktails, such as espresso martinis, strawberry daiquiris, pink martinis, and passion fruit martinis.
Reading's Winter Wonderland also boasts a large range of other food and beverage stalls, the German Sausage stand being a firm favourite for guests.
Other than being a little bemused at the combination of German hotdogs and peri-salted chips on offer, the sausages did look great.
Other stalls selling sweet treats included a pick-and-mix shack, freshly deep-fried donuts with Nutella or chocolate sauce, and a coffee stand selling hot drinks and cakes.
Furthermore, there was also a whole stall dedicated to hot chocolate - yum!
Organisor's have stated that the festive event caters for everyone of all ages.
They said: “Families and friends return year after year to soak up the festive atmosphere.
“Unbelievable £22 Unlimited Ride Wristbands where you can have unlimited riding for 4 hours and for £5 extra you can add Ice Skating.”
Visitors will be able to explore the enchanted Christmas village and take in the stunning views across Reading on the giant observation wheel.
This year, Winter Wonderland will be lighting up the sky providing a beacon to guide you to the site at Hill’s Meadow.
Visitors have been asked to keep an eye out for the beams that will light up the sky to guide you to the dazzling Winter Wonderland.
A visitor from previous years provided an insight into what you can expect from the Christmas event.
A Google reviewer said: “Like a smaller version of Winter Wonderland in London, this is so much fun and has a really nice atmosphere whenever it is allowed to be on. Lots of christmas stalls selling food and festive drink !”
