CHRISTOPHER EVANS, 40, of Caversham Road, Reading, pleaded guilty to two counts of failing to comply with a community protection order on September 14 and October 10 this year in Reading by asking members of the public for money. He was given a period of conditional discharge for 12 months. There were no orders for costs.
ANDREW KEMP, 37, of Repton Crescent, Earley, pleaded guilty to one count of theft from a person on September 7 this year after stealing a mobile phone to the value of £500. He was fined £500. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £200.
OMAR BEAUMONT, 29, of Litton Road, Reading, pleaded guilty to four counts of sending by public communication network an offensive/indecent/obscene/menacing message on July 21 last year, November 12, 2022, between April and April 20 last year, and December 6 2022. He was given a community to complete up to 15 days of rehabilitation activity. There were court costs of £650.
SUKHPAL DHILLON, 38, of Beechwood Avenue, Reading, was found guilty of drug driving on December 31 last year in Wokingham. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £692. There were court costs of £775 and a victim surcharge of £277.
ANDREW MERKETT, 41, of Sawyers Close, Windsor, pleaded guilty to resisting/obstructing a designated person/inspector at Windsor on July 12 this year. He was fined £50. There were no orders for costs.
SHELLIE TURNER, 26, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to two counts of using threatening/abusive/insulting words/behaviour to cause harassment/alarm or distress, two counts of assaulting by beating of an emergency worker, one count of racially/religiously aggravated intentional harassment/alarm or distress, and one count of possession of a Class B drug, namely cannabis, on August 13 this year. He was jailed for 34 weeks and a forfeiture and destruction order was made for the drugs. There were no orders for costs.
JEFFREY BLACK, 45, of Willow Street, Reading, pleaded guilty to one count each of assault by beating on July 20 this year, failing to surrender to court/police bail on September 3, one count of theft from a shop on June 27 this year after stealing two figurines to the value of £64 from Waterstones. He was given a nine week prison sentence suspended for six months. He was also ordered to pay £94 in compensation. There were no other orders for costs.
