A brand-new budget supermarket has opened up in a busy neighbourhood.
Morrisons Daily which is situated at 86-88 Headley Road, Woodley, RG5 4JE (the old Just Tiles site) opened its doors for the first time on Thursday, November 7.
The interior of the shop looks both stylish and classic with dark grey tiled flooring, a black spotlight ceiling, and stone grey metal shelving.
At the front of the store is a display of flowers and bouquets for special occasions and a selection of premium wines are showcased in the middle of the drinks aisle.
Other highlights include an extensive range of frozen food, which includes ice creams, frozen meats, fries, and vegetables.
The fresh fruit and vegetable section is also something to be admired, with lots of seasonal produce on offer every day.
Right now there is a great selection of winter vegetables like carrots, butternut squashes, and potatoes.
Speaking with The Chronicle, Mr Singh said that he and the team are beyond excited to welcome the people of Woodley to the new store.
"To start with, I am very proud to serve Woodley," he said. "This is such exciting news for the neighborhood and we are really looking forward to seeing everyone.
"We’re thrilled to announce the grand opening of the new Morrisons Daily and hope to see lots of people join us for some very special offers."
This comes as a good deal of new businesses have been cropping up around the area, with a new farm shop, barbers, and cafe announcing their imminent arrival.
Speaking to the owner of Berkshire Village Farm Shop which is along the same line of stores, Andy De Beer said that the new Morrisons will have lots of fresh aspects.
He said that the Morrisons will be 'different' from the usual stores and Mr Singh plans to offer customers a range of new items.
"His Morrisons is due to have a beer cave, a bakery, and really good wines," Mr De Beer said.
"The setup is going to be very modern and different from other local stores and supermarkets."
Mr Singh went on to say that he has already received a great amount of positive feedback from the local community, with many allegedly telling him that an accessible supermarket was fervently needed.
"A lot of elderly people in the area have said that they are really pleased that we have decided to open," he said.
"They find it difficult to get to the other supermarkets which are a lot further away, so really do welcome a local one for convenience."
