The Reading Toy Run will cause road closures on Sunday 1st December.
The annual event, now in its 38th year, will see motorbikes riding in convoy into Wokingham to deliver toys in aid of Barnardo’s and other children’s charities.
The start time for this year’s run has been changed and will begin an hour earlier at 1 pm.
The route also has a new starting venue, at the Thames Valley Science Park, Shinfield.
The organisers have expressed their gratitude to motorists for their patience and apologised for any delays that may occur between 1pm to 2.30pm as the bikes come through.
The roads affected by closures include the Shinfield A327 up to the Black Boy Roundabout, Lower Earley Way to the Showcase cinema, the A329 Reading Road between the Showcase and Shute End, Rectory Road, and Wiltshire Road to High Close School, Wokingham.
The closures will also impact traffic on neighbouring roads.
Jane Spiller, for the Toy Run Committee, said: "This is the 38th anniversary of the Toy Run and countless children have benefited at Christmas from the toys and gifts brought by the bikers."
Ms Spiller has invited residents to come along and watch along the route, and donations can be made through the Just Giving Page.
