A fundraiser is being held in memory of a daughter who died of cancer.
The event is being held to raise funds for Sarcoma UK in memory of Francesca Vincent, who died unexpectedly aged 35 in July 2024.
Francesca was diagnosed with soft tissue Ewing's Sarcoma in March 2023.
The fundraiser takes place at the Seven Red Roses in Lower Earley on Saturday, November 16, at 7pm.
The event is being organised by her friends, Debbie Barker Ford and Esta McArthur, who have managed to get more than 60 raffle prizes donated. An auction will also take place on the night.
Sarcoma is a rare form of cancer, and early diagnosis is crucial. It is often difficult to diagnose, so research is vital.
Sarcoma UK funds research and provides support for patients and families during challenging times.
More information about the charity can be found on its website.
In a statement, Francesca's family said: "We would appreciate any help to raise awareness of this terrible disease and to raise the profile of Sarcoma UK."
Sarcoma UK is a national charity which offers support, and funds research into sarcoma cancer.
By raising awareness about the cancer, the charity's aim is to ensure that those diganosed receive better care and support, as well as improve treatments for the future.
