A Berkshire campsite has been named one of the best in the region.

Hurley Riverside Park, located alongside the River Thames in the village of Hurley, was a runner-up in the Best Caravan Park in the South East category at the Camping and Glamping Awards 2024.

The family-friendly site, which boasts a range of facilities including a playground, nature trail, and a heated dog wash, has garnered a 4.89-star rating on its travel listing.

The campsite had positive reviews.

Among the comments from guests were: "The facilities are second to none and the best I have ever used—top marks here."

And: "There are no words to appraise this park. The best one we've visited in the UK."

The awards, held annually by Campsites.co.uk, aim to highlight the best camping, glamping, and touring sites across the UK, celebrating those who go above and beyond for their guests throughout the year.

The awards cover various categories, including Best Campsite, Best Glamping Site, and Most Unique Site.

Other titles include the Greener Site Award, Best Newcomer, and Best Budget Friendly Campsite.

The 2024 Campsites.co.uk overall award winners include Nantcol Waterfalls, Gwynedd as Best Campsite; Tregarton Park, Cornwall as Best Caravan Park; and East Thorne, Cornwall as Best Glamping Site.

The Best Family Campsite award went to Wooda Farm Holiday Park, Cornwall, while the Best Adult Only Site award was claimed by Longnor Wood Holiday Park, Derbyshire.

The Most Unique Site award was given to Woodfire Camping, Petworth, Sussex, and the Best Budget Friendly Campsite was named as Bwch yn Uchaf, Bala, Gwynedd.

St Helens in the Park, Scarborough, Yorkshire claimed the Top Dog Award, while the Best Newcomer Award was given to Ty Cochyn Caravan and Campsite, Anglesey.

Nyth Robin, Gwynedd won the Greener Site Award, and Highlands End Holiday Park, Dorset was named Best Holiday Park.

Ocean Pitch, Devon was declared Best Coastal Campsite, and Parkgate Farm Holidays, Cumbria & Lake District was named Best Small Campsite.
