A popular festival in Reading has announced that it will be taking a break for a year due to the cost of running things.
Readipop Festival has announced that the event is not going ahead next year due to industry pressures.
The festival announced on social media that Readipop will be taking a fallow year in 2025, despite a successful event in July.
Organisers explained that putting on the event has been difficult with rising costs which affect much of the industry.
They also revealed that costs for this year’s events were “significantly” more than its income.
