The following cases were heard at Reading Magistrates’ Courts.

KIAN HURST, 18, of Eagle Way, Bracknell, was found guilty of one count of possessing a bladed article, namely a Stanley lock knife, on August 21 in a public place in Bracknell, namely The Peel Centre. He was given a period of conditional discharge for six months. A forfeiture and destruction order was made for the knife. There was no order for costs.
MOHAMMED AFZAL, 53, of Liverpool Road, Reading, pleaded guilty to drink driving in Reading on August 27 this year on the Wilderness Road, Earley with 103 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. He also pleaded guilty to driving without a valid licence and without third party insurance. Afzal also pleaded guilty to possession of a Class A drug, namely a quantity of cocaine, in Wilderness Road, Earley, Reading on August 27 last year. He was handed a community order to be subject to a curfew order for 16 weeks between 7pm and 7am. He was also disqualified from driving for 28 months. A forfeiture and destruction order was made for the drugs. He was ordered to pay £85 in court costs and a victim surcharge of £114.
BALLAJ KHAN, 21, of Gaveston Road, Slough, pleaded guilty to three counts of assault by beating in Slough on October 17 last year of three different people. He also pleaded guilty to one count of using threatening or abusive words or behaviour within the hearing or sight of someone likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress and the offence was religiously aggravated. He was given a community order to complete 80 hours of unpaid work and to pay £75 in compensation. There were court costs of £400.
ALEXSI MAGRADZA, 34, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to one count of theft from a shop after stealing various goods to the value of £1,755.43 from a Waitrose store in Yateley, Hampshire on November 1 this year. They also pleaded guilty to one count each of driving without third party insurance and driving without a licence on November 1 this year in Bagshot Road, Bracknell. They were handed a 12 week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months and was made subject to an exclusion order not to enter Waitrose in Yately for 12 months. They had eight penalty points added to their driving record. There were no orders for costs.
MICHAEL BUTLER, 36, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to two counts of theft from a shop. On October 26 this year, he stole meat of an unknown value from the Co Op and on the same day he stole coffee of an unknown value also from a Co Op store in Reading. He was given a prison sentence of 12 weeks. There were no orders for costs.
