A boy seen with a knife entering Royal Berkshire Hospital has sparked a police appeal for witnesses.
A member of the public reported a boy with a knife entering the hospital on London Road, Reading, on Monday, November 18, at around 4.15pm.
Police attended the scene but found no-one matching the description - nor did officers locate any weapons.
A spokesperson from Thames Valley Police said: "This was reported to the force by one member of the public who said they saw a boy with a knife.
"Units attended for an area search and CCTV was checked. There was no trace of anyone matching the descriptions provided or weapons seen.
"If anyone has any other information about this report then we would encourage them to contact the force by our website or calling 101, quoting investigation reference number 43240558749."
