A nightclub near our town which was previously reserved for people over the age of 25 has now said that they have been opening up the premises to younger people.
Husband and wife team Sonja Wall, 37, and Mike Wall, 40, who own Reloaded nightclub in Newbury said that they are now letting people aged 21 in for a dance.
"We're just trying to think of things that can draw the crowds in," Mrs Wall said. "We are trying to be able to open more because at the moment it's mainly just Friday and Saturday nights.
"We are still trying to attract the older crowd as well. We did a 30-plus club in the Saturday daytime for ages thirty and over and we are going to keep trying that."
Reloaded first opened its doors around eight months ago and did see success for a while with older people coming for a drink and a dance.
However, it soon became clear that a considerable amount of people in that age group do not want to go out every weekend.
"It was quite difficult really to just restrict it to an over 25 age limit every weekend," Mrs Wall continued.
"This doesn't always fill the place."
She said that on occasional Thursdays they are allowing 18 and over in and on Fridays and Saturdays they are permitting 21 and over entry.
"When I was younger, Thursdays were the night to go out because it was generally a cheaper night and everyone seemed to go out on a Thursday," Mrs Wall said.
"We've opened Thursdays up for 18 and over and now we are doing 21 and over for Fridays and Saturdays.
"You tend to get a bit of a larger crowd if you reduce the age limit."
Despite allowing in a younger type of party-goer, Ms Wall said that Reloaded is still a place for the older generation to go out.
"We are still a place for older people who still want to go out dancing, but maybe don't want to be going out around 20-year-olds if that makes sense," she said.
The club has been putting on a whole host of themed music nights. These include 80s music, county music, drum and bass, and jungle events.
"We just want to make everyone happy really, it is hard to please everyone but we are certainly trying," Mrs Wall laughed
