One year ago, a shocking fire ripped through a tower block in Reading during the construction of the prominent structure.
Due to the heroics of one crane driver, Glen Edwards, 66, who jumped to action to save a trapped construction worker there were no fatalities.
As builders and construction workers rushed to repair the damage and finish the construction many exciting developments have happened so far.
Although builders have completed construction on the external structure, builders are still on site completing landscaping work at the different entrances to the tower block at Station Hill and are undertaking work within the building.
The building will have numerous offices for business and a fitness centre.
Its location at the station is said to attract many businesses to move to Reading.
Exciting news that was announced this year as the building work comes to a close is that multi-national businesses such as PWC and Pepsi Co will be setting up offices within the new building.
Despite two fires happening within four months during construction, the final stages are gone without any difficulties due to the care and fire safety undergone by the construction company.
