The Good Food Guide has today announced its Top 50 Best Sunday Roasts in Britain - and one is right on the Berkshire border.
The Plough Shiplake, in Plough Lane, Shiplake, has made the the list, as one of just six pubs highlighted in the south-east.
The Guide’s search for the Best Sunday Roast underlines the importance of championing those restaurants, pubs and cafes that are the backbone of the British dining scene.
Thousands of nominations were received - showing that a Sunday roast is, by far, Britain’s favourite meal, with 75 per cent of Good Food Guide readers saying a roast is Britain’s most famous dish.
The Good Food Guide also quizzed its readers about their Sunday roast habits, giving us a fantastic insight into Britain’s favourite meal.
Half of Good Food Guide readers eat a roast on another day of the week than Sunday with 79 per cent eating a Sunday roast all year round.

This gastropub is a foodie hotspot between Reading and Henley in Oxfordshire, featuring traditional charm with a contemporary twist.
The pub's website says: "The Plough Shiplake is a place where old friends meet and new bonds are formed.
"A place of laughter and closeness with a drink and a simple but great meal."
All roasts are served with leeks, broccoli and carrot.
The turkey breast roast comes with beef fat potatoes and Yorkshire pudding for £30.
The beef striploin comes with the same sides for £26.
And the pub's roast has gained some rave reviews on Google.
One visitor left a review two months ago that said: "Our first visit bur definitely not our last. We were welcomed on arrival by a super lovely host/owner and promptly offered cocktails to suit our tastes. We were shown to the patio area to enjoy the cocktails with a view.
"Stunning!
"We then had dinner in the restaurant where seemingly nothing was too much trouble. It was our wedding anniversary and we were out for only a short while.
"The food was outstanding and the service exquisite.
"I really hope they are successful new business, they deserve it!"
