Flood alerts are in place for areas around Berkshire, with people advised to avoid low lying land and paths by the River Enborne and the River Pang
The alert covers areas including Tidmarsh, Pingewood, Mortimer, Brimpton, and Bucklebury.
Environment Agency staff are monitoring the situation and clearing trash screens along the waterway.
Property flooding is not currently expected, according to the government agency.
In a statement, a spokesperson said: "River levels are rising on the River Pang as a result of Storm Bert.
"Therefore, flooding of low lying land and roads is expected today (Sunday, November 24), especially in the Sulham Brook area.
"Further rainfall which could be heavy at times is forecast is forecast this morning.
"We expect river levels to remain sensitive to the heavier bands of rain and continue to rise through today (Sunday, November 24). Our staff have been checking and clearing trash screens."
In September, councillors warned that areas around Reading "have a long and difficult winter ahead" torrential rainfall across the summer has left some waterways ready to burst.
