Residents are once again reminded to stay vigilant as the government has released fresh flood alerts for Reading and its surrounding areas.
There are currently nine alerts across the town and neighbouring, with property flooding expected in one instance.

Flood alert for River Lambourn and its tributaries from Upper Lambourn down to Newbury
Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels remain high but have started to stabilise on the the River Lambourn. Therefore, flooding of low lying land and roads is expected to continue today, Wednesday November 26 especially in the Newbury area.
The forecast is for a largely dry day today. River levels remain sensitive to further rainfall. Avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses.
Flood alert for River Pang from East Ilsley to Pangbourne and Sulham Brook
Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels are rising on the River Pang as a result of heavy rainfall at the weekend due to Storm Bert. Therefore, flooding of low lying land and roads is expected today, especially in the Tidmarsh and Sulham areas.
Today is forecast to be mainly dry. We expect river levels to remain high over the coming days. Our staff have been checking and clearing trash screens.
Flood alert for River Kennet from Thatcham down to Reading
Property flooding is expected. A flood warning is in force for the River Kennet at the Burghfield, Southcote, Coley and Holybrook areas.
River levels remain very high as a result of heavy rainfall from Storm Bert. Therefore, flooding of property, low lying land and roads is expected to continue today.
Flood alert for River Thames from Pangbourne to Purley
Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels are rising on the River Thames as a result of heavy rainfall from Storm Bert and water making its way downstream.
Therefore, flooding of low lying land and roads is expected from this afternoon, especially in areas closest the River Thames around Pangbourne and Whitchurch.
Flood alert for River Thames from Mapledurham to Sonning
Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels are rising on the River Thames as a result of heavy rainfall from Storm Bert and water making its way downstream.
Therefore, flooding of low lying land and roads is expected from this afternoon, especially in areas closest the River Thames around Sonning.
Flood alert for Lower River Loddon at the River Thames confluence at Twyford
Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels are rising on the River Loddon as a result of heavy rainfall due to Storm Bert.
Therefore, flooding of low lying land and roads is expected to continue today.
Flood alert for River Thames for Shiplake, Lower Shiplake and Wargrave
Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels are rising on the River Thames as a result of heavy rainfall over the weekend from Storm Bert.
Therefore, flooding of low lying land and roads is expected to continue today, especially in the Shiplake, Lower Shiplake and Wargrave areas.
Flood alert for River Thames for Henley, Remenham, Medmenham and its tributaries
Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels are rising on the River Thames as a result of heavy rainfall over the weekend from Storm Bert.
Therefore, flooding of low-lying land and roads is expected today, especially in the Henley, Renmenham and Medmenham areas. The forecast is predominantly dry day with further rainfall forecast tonight into tomorrow.
Flood alert for Lower River Loddon
Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels remain high on the River Loddon as a result of heavy rainfall due to Storm Bert.
Therefore, flooding of low-lying land and roads is expected to continue today, especially in the Sindlesham Mill, and Arborfield areas.
