Stoneham Grove Care Home called on schoolchildren to help name its new residential and dementia communities.
The luxury care home in Tilehurst, part of Barchester Healthcare, is set to open on December 13.
Ahead of its opening, the care home launched a competition at Long Lane Primary School, with pupils tasked with coming up with names that would reflect the care home's place within the Tilehurst community.
The schoolchildren were then given a shortlist of locally inspired naming options, and asked to pick their favourite four.
The winning names were announced as Englefield, Kentwood, Blagrave, and Armour.
The ground floor residential community will be called Englefield, whilst Kentwood will be the specialist dementia community on the same floor.
The second floor will host the Blagrave residential community and the Armour dementia community.
Long Lane Primary School pupils got the chance to visit the care home this week to find out the winning names, see the different communities, and meet the care home team.
Jodie Lunnon, general manager, said: "We would like to thank all of the schoolchildren from Long Lane Primary School who were involved in choosing the beautiful names for our new communities.
"We are really pleased with the names that have been chosen, they fit brilliantly with our location and will resonate with our new residents."
Once open, Stoneham Grove Care Home will provide bespoke person-centred residential, dementia, and respite care.
The care home will also have two cafés, spa bathrooms, en-suite bedrooms with smart TVs, a choice of lounges, an activities room, a cinema, and an in-house hair and beauty salon.
The care home is getting ready to welcome its first residents in the coming weeks.
People considering care for themselves or a loved one are invited to get in touch with Stoneham Grove's team of experts, who are available to answer any questions about life at the care home and the types of support available.
