The government has released its latest set of flood warnings for our town, and two of them indicate that property flooding is possible. 

Homeowners who live close to rivers or low-lying wetlands should be vigilant and seek further advice from the Environmental Agency. 

The full list of flood warnings for Reading and surrounding areas is as follows: 

Flood alert for River Enborne and Foundry Brook

River levels are rising on the River Enborne and Foundry Brook following recent rainfall. Flooding of low lying land and roads is possible today Thursday November 28. 

Flood alert for River Kennet from Thatcham down to Reading

River levels are high but falling on the River Kennet following heavy rainfall from Storm Bert. Flooding of low lying land and roads is expected to continue today especially in the Theale and Burghfield areas. 

Flood alert for River Thames from Pangbourne to Purley

A flood warning is in force for the River Thames at Purley. River levels are rising on the River Thames as a result of heavy rainfall from Storm Bert and water making its way downstream.

Therefore, flooding of property, low lying land and roads is expected to continue today. 

Flood warning for River Thames at Purley Village

Property flooding is expected.

River levels are rising on the River Thames as a result of heavy rainfall from Storm Bert.

Therefore, flooding of property and roads is expected. Areas most at risk are River Gardens, Chestnut Grove and Wintringham Way.

Flood alert for River Thames from Mapledurham to Sonning

Property flooding is not currently expected.River levels are rising on the River Thames as a result of heavy rainfall from Storm Bert and water making its way downstream.

Therefore, flooding of low lying land and roads is expected to continue today.

Flood alert for Lower River Loddon at the River Thames confluence at Twyford

Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels are rising on the River Loddon as a result of heavy rainfall last night.

Therefore, flooding of low lying land and roads is expected to continue today especially in the Loddon Drive area of Wargrave, with flooding of roads affecting access to properties. 

Flood warning for River Thames for Shiplake, Lower Shiplake and Wargrave

Property flooding is expected. River levels are rising on the River Thames as a result of heavy rainfall.

Therefore, flooding of property and roads is expected later this afternoon, especially in the Basmore Lane, Bolney Road, and Loddon Drive areas.
