A new bar coming to Caversham is on the hunt for staff - and has offered a sneak peak of its menu.

Spill Bar is coming to St Martin's Precinct, occupying the old House of Cards unit that has been vacant since the gifts business relocated to new premises next to Costa Coffee in 2022.

The upcoming bar is the brainchild of Claire Anderton-Bell, managing director of the nearby NOOD store, and Amanda Adlem, the owner of Hilton Skin and Body Clinic in Church Road in Caversham.

In a sneak peak of the venue's new menu, potential customers are told that 'charcuterie boards' will take centre stage.

In a statement, the bar said: "Our sharing boards are designed for two and include indulgent options like cured meats, artisan cheeses, and delicious vegan selections – all served in unique pizza boxes for the ultimate sharing experience.

"Whether it's a casual catch-up or a special occasion, our boards are perfect for pairing with a glass of wine or craft beer.

"We're opening soon, so keep an eye out for our launch date and be the first to try our mouth-watering menu."

Before its opening, the bar is looking to take on staff in a range of positions.

Spill is looking to recruit an 'experienced' bar manager, an assistant bar manager, cocktail bar staff, as well as flood and table runners who enjoy 'a fast-paced environment'.

Earlier this year, the bar was granted a licence to sell alcohol from 12pm to 11pm each night - after it was opposed by a neighbour raising fears about disturbance at closing time.
