The body of a missing university student is believed to have been found in a river in Oxford.
Fintan, who was a student at the University of Reading, is believed to have been found near Osney Mead, Oxford earlier today (Tuesday, December 3).
Officers from Thames Valley Police, with support from Lowland Rescue Oxfordshire, stated that formal identification is yet to be conducted but they 'believe it to be missing person Fintan who was reported missing in Oxford on Wednesday, November 27'.

They added that Fintan’s family have been informed and are being supported by officers.
The death is being treated as unexplained but not suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
Detective Inspector George Atkinson, based at Oxford Police Station, said: “Sadly, we discovered the body of a man in the water near Osney Mead this morning.
“Our thoughts remain with Fintan’s family at this difficult time.
“We would like to thank Lowland Rescue Oxfordshire for their support and assistance, as well as members of the public who shared our appeal and helped us in our search.”
