READING Rockets have announced that head coach Samit Nuruzade will be departing the club after three successful years of involvement.

The decision, which was made mutually between Nuruzade and the Rockets senior management, will pave the way for a new technical structure at the club in time for the 2013-14 season.

The Rockets are currently finalising plans for the coming season, including confirmation of which league they will contest, as well as the composition of players and technical staff.

Announcements regarding each of these will be made in the coming weeks.

During his time at the club, Nuruzade led Rockets to a National Trophy victory and two end-of-season play-off championships.

The highlight, though, was doing the double last season, winning the VCars.co.uk Division One title and play-offs.

Chairman Gary Johnson said: "We have enjoyed a successful period of collaboration with Samit in which we both recognise how he and the team have grown and developed.

"Rockets gave Samit his first head coach post for which he is most grateful as he learned much in a progressive and exciting club under the Rockets director of coaching.

"We both acknowledge that this will be a stepping stone for Samit which I personally hope is nearer his home in Manchester. I wish him all the very best and will be watching to see where his career goes."

Director of coaching Matt Johnson added: "A very big thank you to Samit for his commitment to making the most of younger players on a senior team consistently fighting for championships.

"We have come a long way in the last three years and are further on in our club's ambition to develop a professional system committed to the development of young players and young coaches; Samit has been an active part in this process. I personally echo the chairman's thoughts and wish Samit all the best in what promises to be an excellent coaching career ahead of him."

Rockets will make further announcements in the coming weeks related to their new technical line-up for the 2013-14 season.
