BOB Fagg won the seniors’ medal at West Berks with a nett 66.
The 18-handicapper shot seven pars with no double bogeys in his gross 84 and he was followed home by 11 handicapper, Dave Gentleman, who also had a fine knock returning gross 80, nett 69.
Colin Bell was one shot behind with gross 96, nett 70.
Simone Diamond won the ladies’ midweek medal with a gross 103, nett 77, while Jane Wilmore was second with nett 81 and Pat Davies was a further shot behind in third.
Six-handicapper, Greg Collins, shot level par with three birdies and three bogeys to win Wednesday’s nine-hole Liddiard qualifier beating Andy Robbings on count-back.
Chris Terrett with 20 and Dan Bowsher, Alan Capps and Nick Bishop with 19 all qualified for the final in July.
West Berks’ seniors’ team suffered their first defeat of the season when they lost 6-0 away to Ogbourne Downs.
