THE Holt were in blistering form when they competed in the second round of the Reading and District Schools Athletic League's Under 14 girls competition.
They won all but one of the 12 events at Palmer Park Stadium, only missing out in the shot putt, where they were pushed into third place by Reading School and St Josephs.
The Wokingham team accumulated an impressive haul of 70 points, 26 more than runners-up St Josephs and this takes them into the overall lead with 135 points, nine ahead of Maiden Erlegh Wokingham.
Maiden Erlegh won their match by scoring 68 points, three ahead of Highdown, while Kennet were involved in an even closer finish, ending the day with 47.5 points to edge out Hugh Faringdon on 46 and St Crispins 45.5.
The other winners in the second week were Park House, whose total of 58 points left them nine clear of both Bohunt Academy and Denefield.

In the boys' competition, Blue Coat won their match for the second successive week and are the overall leaders with 121 points, but Maiden Erlegh Wokingham, Little Heath and Piggott A are close behind, with just eight points separating the top four.
