BERKSHIRE, Mid Bucks & Chilterns League Championship Division champions Harpsden rounded off their season with a regulation eight-wicket triumph at home to West Reading, writes Richard Ashton.
Hassan Arif (69) and Haider Zaman (55) batted well for Wests as they posted 232-7 in their 45 overs, Tom Hancock (5-59) the pick of the bowlers.
In reply, it was once again the Blake Hogan-Keogh show, the prolific Australian passing 1,000 runs for the season as his unbeaten 123 – aided by 40 from fellow opener Adam Birkett – fired the hosts to 233-2 in just 28.1 overs.
Checkendon sealed the runners-up spot with a four-wicket victory at home to Ruislip Victoria.
Vijay Mulaparthi (60) and Amir Shahzad (41) were among the runs as the Victorians totalled 176, their efforts thwarted primarily by Rama Adigantla (4-19) and Amol Tyagi (3-53).
The league's top wicket-taker, Shair Khan (3-38), gave the visitors hope, but Tyagi (76no) and Vittal Guntaka (42) did enough to get their side over the line with more than 13 overs to spare.
Joe Gumb (66) and captain Ed Harris (44no) starred for third-placed Holmer Green (245-6) as they thrashed Ballinger Waggoners (85) by 160 runs, Rommel Foster (5-27) and Dan Little (3-30) too hot to handle for the visitors.
Fine knocks from Andy Watts (69no) and Jason Vaughan-Davies (63no) inspired Peppard Stoke Row (202-3) to a seven-wicket home win against basement side Penn & Tylers Green (198-7).
Jake Wilson (58) and Simon Tattersall (51) had earlier batted well for Penn, while skipper Max Baker-Smith took 4-52 for PSR.
Craig Peterson struck a brilliant 121 as Ley Hill hammered Braywood by 167 runs.
Lewis Thompson (66) and Max Lee (55) also batted well as the visitors scored 282-9, Nasser Mahmood (3-44) and Raja Ahsan (3-46) impressing with the ball.
Braywood's reply never got going, with Jack Thompson (4-24) and Graham Comper (3-20) combining to dismiss the hosts for 115.
