TINA Mulford of Wantage scored 35 points in Round Two of the Gillas Cup at West Berks on Saturday and Mary Harwood was a point behind in second place.
Harwood had scored 35 points in Round One, as had Georgie Seaman, and so all three players take 35 points into the third and final round next Saturday.
Martin Anscombe shot a gross 93, nett 72 to win the seniors’ midweek medal by a single shot from Roger Gaskell on gross 88, nett 73. Andy Robbings was third with 83, 75.
The annual match between the seniors and the ladies for the Chris Green Trophy ended with the seniors avenging last year’s 4-2 defeat with a 5½-½ success.
The men’s inter-club friendly team enjoyed another fine 4½-1½ triumph at home to Hadden Hill.
