Reading striker Sam Baldock admitted it is very exciting to be a striker at the club at this present time with the amount of chances coming his way.
Baldock has returned to the fray under the management of Mark Bowen and has scored two goals in two games, with strikes against QPR and Millwall.
With the likes of Ovie Ejaria and John Swift in prime form, Baldock is relishing playing as a striker at the present time.
He said: "I prefer having a partner up there with me.
"We are maybe playing as slightly wider partners but when you have so many creative players behind you like Ovie and Swifty, with the help of the wing-backs, we are creating a lot of crossing positions and a lot of higher positions to get balls into the box.
"It is exciting times to be a striker."
Baldock's strike against Millwall was a wonderful finish, thumping the ball into the top corner from 25 yards, and he revealed a very personal story behind the goal.
He added: "It was up there as one of my best goals.
"I hit it clean. It was a really special one for me because it was boy's first game.
"He is only 18 months old and I had been waiting to bring him to a game when he sort of understands what is going on a little bit more.
"He came to the game on Saturday and they were behind that goal and I was able to go over and celebrate towards, although I don't think he knew what was going on!"
