Reading FC boss Mark Bowen said that he is not 'going to beat the team up' over their performance in the 2-1 defeat to Derby County.
After a tight affair for much of the first half, the hosts turned the game on it's head with two quick goals at the end of the first period.
Tom Lawrence was afforded too much space on the edge of the area and curled his effort beyond the helpless Rafael, before Wayne Rooney doubled Derby's advantage from the penalty spot.
Andy Rinomhota scored with a clever header in the second half, but it wasn't enough to get Reading back into the game.
Speaking after the match Bowen said that despite the result - he felt that Reading had dominated the game.
"We had a game plan to keep things tight and then break off them. In the first half we probably conceded too much space.
"We played with more drive in the second half to take more risks. We had three or four good chances to score in the first half but when we conceded those two goals it gave us a mountain to climb.
"I thought we dominated the game in the second half but we've come away with nothing, again.
"We've been the best team in both games this week and come away with one point which is not really what you want."
Bowen also admitted he had no complaints following the dismissal of Matt Miazga after the full time whistle.
"Matt has obviously reacted.
"I've been told he was headbutted and then he swung an arm and caught the fella. You can't argue with it - it's two red cards.
"You have to be more disciplined than that but until I see what happened I can't really comment. He was reacting to something in his face but it was two red cards and no complaints."
The manager also spoke about the possibility of rotating his squad for the visit of Brentford on Tuesday.
"We'll have a look at how players recover.
"[Michael] Olise and [Ovie] Ejaria both went off with cramp so the players are still getting up to speed. We'll see how we can freshen things up."
