Reading made it two successive 1-1 draws in the Women’s Super League on Saturday afternoon with Brooke Chaplen the scorer at Tottenham Hotspur.
An early headed effort from Chaplen opened her WSL account this season before Tottenham full-back Ashleigh Neville headed in on 25 minutes.
The Royals were looking for a return to winning action after three games in all competitions without a victory.

A midweek defeat to West Ham disappointed Kelly Chambers’ side but a positive response was on offer in North London.
They started the faster of the two sides with a Chaplen cross alluding Amalie Eikeland before Angharad James could only find the side netting unmarked in the opening five minutes.
Rachel Rowe retained her place in the starting line-up but failed to trouble Spurs goalkeeper Rebecca Spencer with an early long-range effort.
On 13 minutes, the deadlock was broken as the Royals high press continued to cause trouble. A defence splitting ball from Jess Fishlock found Emma Mitchell and her cross was perfect for Chaplen to head home.
Tottenham had a chance to even immediately through Rianna Dean before Deanna Cooper succumbed to injury.
With 25 minutes on the clock, Spurs had the equaliser as Neville flicked on a Dean header past Grace Moloney.
Substitute Kristine Leine had a chance to put the Royals ahead before half time as her header went over before Reading continued the search for the advantage in the second period.
Fishlock hit the wall with a free kick before World Cup winner Alex Morgan entered the fray for the hosts.
A long-awaited debut for the American came to nothing though as the Reading defence were unshaken.
Kerys Harrop saw an effort wide for Tottenham before a golden chance fell to substitute Lily Woodham in stoppage time.
The Welsh youngster was put through on goal, but her effort was smothered by Spencer.
