Here are our player ratings from Reading's 3-1 win at home to Bristol City.
Rafael - 7
Slightly slow to react to the chance which led to Bristol City's equaliser but other than that, a very quiet afternoon for Rafael - such was the quality of the defensive showing in front of him. His communication was excellent as he made orders from behind the defence.
Tom Holmes - 8
Continued his fine form at right-back with another mature display. His awareness was really impressive and found himself in the right place to intercept the ball. Was really brave in the challenge and added to the attack really well in the second half, unlucky not to score with a sensational header.
Michael Morrison - 8
Was given the unenviable task of matching the physicality of Famara Diedhou and did so brilliantly with an accomplished performance. Intercepted a number of key crosses as well and won a lot more than he lost in the air.
Liam Moore - 9
A fine captain's display from Liam Moore. Showed his dedication after an injury scare by immediately producing a fantastic challenge which summarized his performance. Kept the defence organised and calm, especially as the late-goal specialists turned the screw late on.
Omar Richards - 9
An exemplary showing from Richards. Didn't stand still for a moment, defended brilliantly and added to the attacks with a number of impressive deliveries into the area. Superb at both ends of the pitch.
Andy Rinomhota - 9
Made a lot of key challenges to break up the play in midfield and maintained his composure throughout amid high pressure from the visiting midfield. Added to the attack and got the ball forward really quickly and accurately.
Josh Laurent - 8
Just as we've come to expect from Laurent who again was the engine of the Royals midfield alongside Rinomhota. Tenacious, energetic and rock solid.
Yakou Meite - 9
Could've had a hat-trick, at least! Looked a constant threat, took his goal superbly after missing a couple of good chances, which was pleasing to see. Set up the third goal with a pinpoint pass as well when a more negative player may have taken it into the corner.
The less said about the missed headed in front of gaping goal, the better.. But, we'll let him off!
Michael Olise - 8
Was crucial in a lot of Reading's attacking play with superb passing to set up chances for others. Delivered a few wicked set-pieces as well
Lucas Joao - 9
Absolutely sensational once-more from Joao. Held up the ball expertly throughout - demonstrated in his assist for Ejaria's opener.
HE looked to have confidence in abundance with the flair he showed on the ball and kept a calm head to finish the game off late on. Brought others into play and worked the defensive line expertly.
SUBS
Alfa Semedo - 6
Kept the attacks ticking over late on after being introduced for Michael Olise.
Neither Tomas Esteves or Sone Aluko featured for long enough for a fair rating.
