Reading have confirmed that goalkeeper Sam Walker has joined Blackpool on an emergency seven-day loan.
The 29-year-old, who joined the club from Colchester United in the summer of 2018, will be available to play in the Seasiders’ next two games over the festive period.

EFL rules allow clubs to sign goalkeepers on an emergency loan basis for a week-long period from other clubs, should all other senior goalies be unavailable to play through injury or suspension.
This will mean that Walker will be in Blackpool’s squad to face Rochdale and Shrewsbury Town respectively in League One.
Walker has only played 14 times for Reading and has yet to feature for the Royals this season.
His last appearance for the club to date, was in the 3-3 draw against Cardiff City at the start of February in the FA Cup.
Reading won the tie 4-1 on penalties.
