Rosella Ayane had a Morocco debut to remember as the forward scored in a 3-0 win over Mali in Rabat.
The former Maiden Erlegh pupil was born in Reading and her family remain in Berkshire.
Born to a Moroccan father and a Scottish mother, Ayane represented England at a series of youth levels before making her mark for the African country earlier this month.
The 25-year-old currently plies her club trade for Tottenham Hotspur in the Women’s Super League and certainly made her mark on the international stage.

Within a minute of her debut, the striker had notched her first senior international goal.
The day was to get better as Rosella also registered an assist.
Talking to the Tottenham Hotspur media team, Ayane said “It was incredible, it was a debut that every footballer dreams about.”

“Scoring in the first minute and getting an assist on your debut is every striker’s dream.
It was overwhelming to score so early on, and it really helped to settle my nerves. I can’t really put into words how much it meant to me and my family. It was a special feeling and actually quite emotional.”
The former Chelsea youth product became the first English born player to play for Morocco as well as the first WSL based player to also feature for the Atlas Lions.
She then also featured for the final 30 minutes of the second meeting between Morocco and Mali, in a 3-2 victory.
