Reading FC fans have reacted to the news that Achraf Lazaar is on trial at the club.
The Moroccan born defender joined Newcastle in 2016, where he only made 4 appearances.
After loan moves to Benevento, Sheffield Wednesday and Cosenza, he made five appearances for Watford last season.
Some have taken to social media to express their excitement about the possibility of Laazar's arrival.
Too early to right off Lazaar, trust the club to make the right judgement #readingfc

Achraf Lazaar I’ve looked in to a bit, seems like he had a big future, went to Newcastle and just flattered to deceive. If he does well on trial then worth a year & good to not block Bristow/Samuels. Clearly a player in there, maybe a run of games helps #readingfc

Some Royals fans and Watford supporters expressed reservation about the possible signing.
ummm decent back up left back for a championship side. no way should he start for you guys. very error prone, positioning sometimes horrendous- but a reliable sub/back up

Sounds like Lazaar had a horrendous loan at Watford, fans seemed to hate him judging by their forum. Unless the wages are very low, I would stick with the kids or go for a loan. #readingfc
