Chris Wilder brings his Middlesbrough down to Berkshire on Saturday, with the Royals looking to record their third home win on the bounce against the Teessiders.

Here are five players who have played for both sides in the last two decades.

Reading Chronicle:

Dave Kitson

An iconic forward from the legendary 106-point team, Kitson is one of the best strikers in the history of the club.

Costing £150,000 from Cambridge United, the striker hit 62 goals in 158 matches for the club over two stints.

An unsuccesful move to Stoke City in 2008 saw him enjoy a six match stint on loan with Boro- hitting three in six appearances.

Reading Chronicle:

Leroy Lita

Another member of the 106-point team, Lita cost £1,000,000 in 2005 and hit 32 in 105 for the Royals.

Moving directly from Reading to Middlesbrough, he was a key member of the team for two years and scored 20 in 82 before embarking on a journeyman career from Thailand to Hednesford.

He was last seen playing, and scoring, in the Reading legends match in May.

Yakubu

A club-record fee of £7,500,000 was enough to lure the highly-sought after Nigerian from Portsmouth to Teesside in 2005.

35 goals in 103 appearances tempted Everton to pay a club-record £11,250,000 where he was a fan favourite for four years.

Moving around the Championship, Qatar and China; he surprisingly joined the Royals in 2015 on a short-term deal.

One goal, a famous winner against Derby County in the FA Cup to send the Royals into the quarter final, in 11 appearances cemented cult status.

Reading Chronicle:

Andrew Taylor

A North-East native, left-back Taylor broke through the much-acclaimed youth system in the town and played almost 150 times during a golden period for the club.

Leaving in 2011 for the Welsh captial, he played another 114 times for Cardiff City before joining Wigan Athletic in 2014. Following relegation Steve Clarke picked the experienced full-back up on loan, where we played 23 times as they finished 17th in the Championship and reached the FA Cup quarter final.

He went on to star for Bolton Wanderers before retiring in 2019.

Reading Chronicle:

Lewis Baker

Stoke City captain Baker spent a season on loan with both Royals and Boro during a 17-year association with Chelsea.

Two goals in 14 appearances with recently-relegated Boro was followed up with a move to Reading for the second half of the 2018/19 campaign where Jose Gomes and his band of Premier League loan stars, including current midfielder Ovie Ejaria, kept the club in the Championship.

The 27-year-old scored once, a stunner in defeat to Hull City, in 19 appearances at the Berkshire outfit.
