Reading came from behind to secure a well-deserved point against second-place Norwich City at SCL Stadium.
Here are the player ratings.
Joe Lumley- 6: Despite conceding, the on-loan keeper had very little to do on the night. Arguably the goal shouldn't have stood, with a foul in the build-up and handball shouts, which could have seen him pick up a clean sheet.
Junior Hoilett- 7: Ran Sam Byram ragged in the first half, playing dangerous crosses throughout the first half. Had a quieter second period but still very effective out of position.
Tom Holmes- 7: A colossus at the back, the captain won absolutely everything. Took the armband in place of Andy Yiadom and rose to the challenge.
Sam Hutchinson- 6: Booked within the first 15 minutes, the experienced defender expertly navigated the remainder of the game on a yellow card.
Tom McIntyre- 7: Similar to Holmes, his head was in the way of every ball played into the box. Less opportunity to drive forward than on Saturday, he still provided an attacking threat where applicable.
Nesta Guinness-Walker- 7: Two matches in a week where the youngster has stood-out, it is great to see him developing match on match.
Tyrese Fornah- 6: Looked less effective than he has done in the past, the 22-year-old still put in a strong shift and kept the ball ticking over nicely.
Mamadou Loum- 7: A mountain in the middle, his long legs got in everywhere. Broke up the play and provided muscle in the middle of the park.
Jeff Hendrick- 7: A good showing from the goalscorer, he was constantly trying to find the back of the net to bag his brace. Added nergy and some comfortable passing in the midfield.
Tom Ince- 6: Nothing to add that hasn't already been said- the man gets everywhere. Proved a frustrated figure and was booked midway through for a rash challenge.
Andy Carroll- 7: The basis of almost every Reading attack- the Geordie won everything and held up the ball expertly. Nearly scored a great header in the first half.
Substitutes
Lucas Joao- 6: Struggled to get into the game from the bench but offered energy and a willing runner.
Ovie Ejaria- 6: A bright spark off the benhc, the midfielder looked energetic and determined since his return from injuiry.
Amadou Mbengue- 6: Handled Onel Hernandesz well at wing-back, could do with keeping his head and not getting involved in needless scuffles. A competent home debut.
