Three Reading players are representing their nations, seven former players in total.
Two stars of old have been born in Berkshire and represented the Three Lions on the world's biggest stage.
Peter Osgood- 1970
Born and rasied in Windsor, Chelsea's famous goal scorer was picked up by the Blues as a teenager from non-league outfit Windsor.
Playing more than 300 times for the Stamford Bridge outfit, winning the FA Cup in 1970 and European Cup Winners Cup in 1971, Sir Alf Ramsey took the maverick to Mexico as the reigning World Champions looked to retain their crown.
Osgood never started at the tournament but made two subsitute appearances against Romania and Czechoslovakia in the group stages.
England would be knocked out in the quarter-finals by 1966 runners-up West Germany.
Osgood, who ended his career in 1979, only featured four times for his national team.
Neil Webb- 1990
From a footballing family in Reading, Neil's father Douggie had played over 200 times for the Biscuitmen.
Making his debut for his hometown club in 1980, he is best-known for his association with First Division sides Nottingham Forest and Manchester United.
Making his England debut in 1987, he played at Euro 88 and Italia 90, although injury in the 1989/90 campaign meant he only featured in the third-place play-off defeat to hosts Italy.
Ending his international career at Euro 92, he earned 26 caps for his country, scoring four times.
