Reading have beaten Manchester United just once in 22 meetings dating back to 1912, with the only win coming in the Biscuitmen's run to the semi final of the 1927 FA Cup.
On their travels at Old Trafford, that becomes three draws and eight defeats.
Tomorrow over 3,000 Royals will travel to Manchester with the dream that Paul Ince's side can cause an upset at the place he called home for over five years.
This will be the fifth time the side have played the Red Devils on their home turf in the last decade, with a big day out in Salford becoming something of a regular occurrence these days.

Saturday, December 30 2006: Manchester United 3-2 Reading
The Royals' first ever league meeting at Old Trafford was a thriller as the reigning Premier League champions were pushed all the way.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer gave Sir Alex Ferguson's side the lead on the half hour mark before Ibrahimo Sonko equalised less than 10 minutes later.
Cristiano Ronaldo regained their on the hour mark, and grabbed a brace in the final 15 minutes to put some daylight between the sides.
Leroy Lita pulled one back in stoppage time to reduce the defecit, but it was not enough to take anything back down south, other than some media admirers.
Saturday, February 17 2007: Manchester United 1-1 Reading
The first of many cup meetings over the last 20 years, Steve Coppell's men earned a replay in the fifth round.
Michael Carrick thundered homean effort in first half stoppage time to give the hosts the lead, but Brynjar Gunnarsson rose highest from a corner to head past Tomasz Kuszczak to level the scores.
Henrik Larsson, Wes Brown and Louis Saha all came close, but Adam Federici earned a replay.
United went three goals up inside six minutes at the Madejski Stadium, with Dave Kitson and Lita helping to make it a tense final few moments in Berkshire.
Sunday, August 12 2007: Manchester United 0-0 Reading
The Royals did a remarkable job at keeping the reigning champions quiet on the opening day of the 2007/08 campaign in a goalless draw.
Kitson broke the record for the fastest red card, having been on the pitch for all of 37 seconds before receiving his marching orders, but overall it was a good day at the office in what would be a difficult season, culminating in relegation come May.
Monday, February 18 2013: Manchester United 2-1 Reading
Another cup meeting and another exit.
Top-flight Royals made it difficult for the title chasers, but a quick-fire pair from Javier Hernandez and Nani all-but secured the win.
Jobi McAnuff pulled one back in the final 10 minutes, but the job was done.
Saturday, March 16 2013: Manchester United 1-0 Reading
Less than a month later, now managerless Reading arrived at Old Trafford under the temporary watch of legendary youth coach Eamonn Dolan.
Another close encounter, Wayne Rooney's strike was all that could separate the sides who were on course for very different season, with one winning the league and one relegated with a whimper.
Saturday, January 7 2017: Manchester United 4-0 Reading
United legend Jaap Stam took his high-flying Reading side to the Theatre of Dreams for the third round clash live on BBC.
Two down inside 15 minutes, the tie was over before the break after goals from Rooney and Anthony Martial.
Marcus Rashford added a late brace (look away, Ali Al-Habsi) and a Jose Mourinho's men went out in the quarter-finals.
Saturday, January 5 2019: Manchester United 2-0 Reading
A much closer tie two years later, Jose Gomes' Royals had the occasional decent chance, with Danny Loader looking most likely to give his club something to celebrate.
Juan Mata and Romelu Lukaku scored in the first half to virtually kill the tie, but plucky Reading gave it a good go.
Sitting inside the relegation zone, the Royals had more important matters on their hands.
