Reading boss Paul Ince confirmed he is looking to bring in 'one or two' midfielders in the final week of the window.
Still under an embargo, the club are very limited at what they can do for the remainder of the season.
The Reading Chronicle had broken that former Royals favourite Josh Laurent was a target of Ince's, with the Stoke City man putting in a very impressive performance against his old club on Saturday in a 4-0 defeat.

Without naming names, the former England captain did accept that he has his eye on a couple of midfielders who he would like to bring to RG2.
Speaking ahead of the Manchester United clash, Ince said: "We’ve got one or two that we’re looking at. The transfer window is a nightmare, everyone waits until the last minute and all of a sudden it goes mad. You try to bring someone in and they say hang on we want to bring someone in before we let him go and all this stuff in such a short space of time. I’m trying to prepare for a game at Old Trafford and the window is still open. We need to get a midfielder in if we can, that’s my priority."
