Former Reading defender Michael Morrison has rejoined his boyhood club, Cambrdige United.
The 34-year-old, who played over 100 times for the Royals from 2019 until 2022, has spent the last six months in the third tier with Portsmouth.
Vastly-experienced, with over 700 career appearances to his name, the Suffolk-born centre-back was a product of the Cambridge academy and went on to play over 100 times from 2005 until 2008.
Battling relegation in League One, Mark Bonner's side can call on the former Birmingham City captain's know-how, having battled many a relegation scrap with the Royals and Blues.
Mark Bonner on the possibility of Michael Morrison joining the club: "It's getting closer, so hopefully we'll be there quite soon." #camUTD #Pompey

“I am really pleased to be back,” Morrison said. “I always wanted to come back home someday so it’s an opportunity I couldn’t turn down.
“I know we are in a fight but I look forward to helping the team have a good second half of the season by picking up results and rising up the table.”
