Reading Women have progressed to the fifth round of the FA Cup with a penalty shootout win over Leicester City.
The Foxes, bottom of the WSL, took the lead twice across 120 minutes, only for the Royals to equalise on both ocassions and take the game to spotkicks at 2-2.
Grace Moloney, the long-serving Academy graduate, made three saves and ensured it was Kelly Chambers' side progressing in the cup.
Speaking after the match, the boss admitted that the performance was not great, but a win is a win.
"It’s safe to say, it wasn’t the performance we wanted, I think it was a game that didn’t have a lot of quality, but at the end of the day we got the job done.
"We went ahead, and started really well, but then we dropped our levels a bit, and it took us a long time to find that level that was needed and the players know that.
“But we managed to get ourselves into the game, and fair play to the girls for continuing to believe. Obviously for the penalties, Grace [Moloney] was unbelievable."
The draw for the next round is tonight from 6.30pm.
