Reading could be with defensive pair Liam Moore and Tom Holmes for Rotherham United's visit to Berkshire.
Former captain Moore has been struggling with a career-threatening injury and has missed over 12 months, but Holmes picked up a calf knock last week and missed the 1-0 defeat at Sunderland.
However, speaking after the match on Wearside, Ince hinted that they could play a part.
"He [Moore] got 45 minutes so hopefully. We need to see when we get back down south and see how the players feel. Fingers crossed he will be okay to be a part on Tuesday."
Speaking to BBC Berkshire regarding Holmes, Ince said: "I won't know until I get home."
The vice-captain was touch-and-go regarding the trip to the Stadium of Light- depending on his swelling and bruising.
One who won't be involved against the Millers is Lucas Joao.
The forward went to Portugal to see a specialist regarding his knee, although Ince is hopeful to have the Angolan available for Friday's trip to Cardiff.
"Lucas has had a sore knee so he has gone to Portugal to get it sorted. He should be back, hopefully, maybe Friday or Saturday. He'll be back in on Monday, it's just a case of what extend the damage is. Hopefully he could be back for Cardiff."
