Reading boss Paul Ince does not believe his side deserved booing off the pitch at half-time in yesterday's 2-1 win over Rotherham United.
Lee Peltier gave the Millers the advantage at the break, but Andy Carroll and Tyrese Fornah headers turned the game on its head.
Jeers were heard from sections of the crowd following the substitution of full-back Baba and at half-time after it looked set to be another disappointing evening for the Royals.
Responding to the boo's, Ince said: "I can understand the fans getting frustrated at half-time. I’m not keen on the booing, I don’t think we warrant that, but I can understand the frustration. For us to get where we want to get to we need to all stick together, but I do understand it wasn’t the greatest game. It wasn’t the whole stadium, just a few. We know it’s going to be tough, and sometimes I get frustrated, and the fans get frustrated.
"We’ve got some tough times coming up. We started the season off so well at home, and it's a tough place to come. It’s tight and the fans are on top of you. There’s a belief that we can win at home. Sometimes you wonder why we can’t have that same belief when we play away."
Sat just six points outside the play-offs, Reading face struggling Cardiff City and Blackpool in their next two fixtures.
