Reading summer triallist Connor Wickham has joined Cardiff City until the end of the season, and could line up against the Royals tomorrow.
The former Crystal Palace and Sunderland striker spent pre-season with Paul Ince and his side, even going on the camp to St George's Park in July.
He found the net in behind-closed-doors friendlies ahead of the new season, but was eventually let go.
The former England Under-21 star spent the first half of the season with struggling Forest Green Rovers, scoring nine in 20 appearances for the third tier outfit.
Joining the Bluebirds last week, the 29-year-old has joined Sabri Lamouchi's relegation-threatened side until the end of the current season.
A highly-rated youth talent, injuries have hit Wickham hard as the Ipswich Town prodigy has played just 100 matches in the last decade.
Originally spending time in the Royals' youth set-up, Wickham made his name in Suffolk and on Wearside with Sunderland before a big money move to Crystal Palace in 2015.
Cardiff are sat in 21st, but won their first match under Lamouchi on Tuesday against Birmingham City.
