Reading boss Paul Ince has revealed that midfielder Cesare Casadei will get more game time before the end of the season.
The 19-year-old has played under an hour for the Royals so far this season, however has appeared in the matchday squad for each Championship fixture since his arrival.
Unused in the side's 1-0 defeat to Cardiff City on Friday, former fellow Inter Milan midfielder Ince was quizzed on his minimal involvement since his arrival.
"He's only 19 and when you come from Inter Milan, with the culture-shock of coming to another country, in the first game he did okay," the former England captain admitted. "But he’s 19 and you look at him training and think he needs a bit more experience with the tempo that we train at. He’s come from Italy and trained with the Under-21s, it’s not the same tempo as men’s football. It’s one of those where he will get better in two to three weeks once he knows the tempo and pace of the game.
"The Championship is a tough league. I thought about putting him in today but with Mama coming back and Ty [Tyrese Fornah] getting the winner on Tuesday. Hopefully we will see lots more of him. He’s only 19 and he’s still growing into his body. He’s still a baby and growing into his body, but we’ll see a lot more of him this season."
