Legendary former Reading captain Graeme Murty is among the favourites to take over at Oxford United after Karl Robinson's departure.
The former MK Dons boss lost his job yesterday after defeat to Bristol Rovers, leaving the U's 17th in the third tier after almost five years in charge at the Kassam Stadium.
According to BetVictor, Shrewsbury Town manager Steve Cotterill is favourite to take over at 4/1, while former Blackpool boss Neil Critchley is 6/1 and former Peterborough United chief Grant McCann is 8/1.
At 20/1, along with Celtic legend Neil Lennon, is Murty.
With over 300 Royals appearances to hisname, Murty spent time with Rangers in Scotland.
Recently taking over as manager of Sunderland's Under-21s side, the former Scotland international is yet to have a full-time role in charge of a first team.
Chris Wilder, Leam Richardson and former U's boss Michael Appleton remain among the bookie's choices.
