Long-time Reading Director of Football, Nick Hammond, has taken up a new role in Israel.
Hammond, who spent four years as a player with the Royals before another 20 years in the backroom at the Madejski Stadium, is the new Senior Football Advisor for Hapoel Tel Aviv.
A key member of the backroom set-up for multiple promotions in Berkshire- including the famous 2005/06 Championship win- Hammond has spent time with West Brom, Celtic and Newcastle United since his 2016 departure.
Hapoel Tel Aviv, the 13-time Israeli winners, are without a title in a decade.
Former Head of Performance Analysis, Hen Sol, has also been promoted as Head of Football Operations.
Last season they finished fifth out of 14 in the Israeli Premier League.
