Newcastle United midfielder Jeff Hendrick is expected to be 'made available' for a transfer in the summer.
On-loan at Reading, the Republic of Ireland international has made 37 Championship appearances for Paul Ince- a regular in the heart of midfield.
Due to return to the North-East at the end of the season, his deal at St James' Park runs to the end of next season.
However, according to the Athletic, the 31-year-old and Norwich City midfielder Isaac Hayden "will both be made available."
Moving to Newcastle in 2020, he has only played 27 times and spent the second half of last season on loan with Queens Park Rangers.
This season marks the most productive campaign for the Irishman, who has scored four times, since his days with Burnley and Derby County.
Eddie Howe's Magpies are a club on the up, and so there is expected to be a big turnover in the summer.
The report claims that Matt Ritchie, Mark Gillespie and Matty Longstaff are also free to leave.
